The logo is of a cat sitting in the cowl of a CFM 56-7B24 engine, commonly used in Boeing 737 NG’s (Series 700, 800 and 900).
But what is a Hangar cat?
hangĀ·ar cat
[hang-er kat]
A domestic feline, brought in to control the rat population in poorly insulated airport hangars. I spent a large part of the the early 2000’s working in the airline industry, often in hangars, often in some office in an old hangar and every now and then I was responsible for pest control. I felt Hangarcat was appropriate.
